Call me later...I'm melting into the carpet

So another weekend goes by on campus.

This means I survived another week of classes. Friday night I watched one of my RAs play in a little jazz group he and a few friends threw together and then stayed up until 3:30 in the morn to watch Casino Royale eating FroYo from Stat's. Delicious. Yesterday I attempted to do some early and cheap Christmas shopping. Disgusting, I know. So I took the bus on over to Newington. I don't know why I thought going anywhere near a shopping center on a Saturday afternoon would be a good idea. Everyone is shopping and everyone is walking ridiculously slow, looking at things they're not going to buy.

Currently I'm in the library, once again. You can find me hear every weekday without fail for at least an hour. For some reason I'm more focused when I'm surrounded by others who are extremely focused. Make sense? I try working in my lounge, but if I'm alone I don't get as much done...and in my room, it's usually hopeless. Plus this helps me hide from the stress of everyone else. It's my job to listen to people complain and when I'm not working, and EVERYONE has something to complain about...well, I'm not as understanding lately. It seems the only thing I complain about is people complaining. Ironic? Tell me a story, tell me what's going on. Don't complain about it. I'll want to smack you upside you're whiny little head. Which also brings me to something I find humorous. I seem to be more irritable when I'm in a good mood...as in, I don't want anything to ruin it. So if I'm in a good mood, find a different therapist.

In other news. IT'S ALMOST THANKSGIVING! Sweet baby jeezums. Thank fucking gob. This means it's almost the end of classes (Dec 11 technically but I'm done on Dec 10) and you will see me running around like a maniac because I will finally get my FREEDOM from life. For at least a month...then it'll start allover but I'm not thinking about that. I'll also be registering on the 8th so I'll let you know how that goes and what my hectic schedule (my schedules are always hectic, there's no winning there) looks like.

Hmm...what else? Oh! Alkaline Trio news. They're planning to release their 7th studio album on Heart & Skull Records/Epitaph Records! This is exciting. Not only the record label move (an amazing choice I may add)...ALKALINE TRIO IS COMING OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM. Very happy narrator here. Will promptly purchase and review whenever possible (no clue of the release date yet). Read about it @ the Epitaph Blog

Well until next time I'll leave you with a little Trio for your listening pleasure.
Maybe I'll catch fire...

Today, Yesterday, Letz Get Some Spucky Rolls

My ears hurt from giant headphone pads, my feet are cracking, and my fingers tingle from poster tubes, but that's another post all together...

I ran to Staples this morning for some paper-products and on the way home stopped by my Nana's for a visit. I don't see her that often, as often as I would like, and well- she's not getting any younger. Nana Furtado, originally a Fucci before marriage, was born in 1918. Yep, she's 91 and still living on her own. Fully functional, just a little slower, and completely there. Nothing missing. I want that to be me at 91 and yes I plan to live until 91. I'll die on my own terms.

We spent a lot of time talking about East Boston when my grandfather (her son) was young, all of which was sparked by a conversation about her refrigerator that we figured out was 44 years old and still running perfectly. I wish I was a part of a time where two movies were a quarter, you could win prizes, and watch cartoons all in the same. Then again I wouldn't be writing to you know online, in a blog, with the internet, but that's ok. I wouldn't know the difference. Then we got talking about how much a quarter was worth, and a store that would give you two spucky rolls (sandwich meat included). Don't know what a spucky roll is? Google Image that shit. It's a short sub roll. Commence- my craving for a sub from Roy's, also in East Boston. I've been going there forever, it was there before I was born and the family that owns it has known me since I was in diapers. They also know my order by now: Small Pepperoni and Cheese with mustard and pickles, extra pickles in a cup on the side because I want to eat them. It still gets the raised eyebrow or head shake since the first time I ordered it.

Enough reminiscing. I'm going to indulge an internet addiction of mine. The COMBICHRIST tour blog written by Joe Letz. He lives behind his camera when they're out on the road and supply me with enough humorous goodies to keep me going all night. Check out the blog, unless you shame drunken humor and have a stick up your ass, otherwise- don't even bother. But for a laugh: combichrist's journal and here's a little video from Joe's YouTube account (fuxleep) that accompanies the blogging.

Off to the new post, until next time, take that stick out your ass and shove it into your complaining gob.

This shit will fuck you up,
Love,

And So, I Ate

That is the summary of my weekend. I ate. Friday was dinner at, Friday's, clever. Ordered the petite Sirloin with a side of their mashed potatoes with cheese. They're brilliant and delicious. Saturday was IHOP. Three eggs, three buttermilk pancakes, and a side of corn beef hash. Why have I eaten so much? Tomorrow is my birthday and people seem to like to feed me. What's on the menu for tomorrow? More steak, that's how it goes.

I would like to thank Twitter this weekend for helping me connect with an old friend of mine. Funny how the internet works. I would also like to thank it for keeping me in touch via cell phone while I was without internet.

This weekend was one of movies, including: Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels (seen many times), Dog Soldiers (also a favourite), many movies on FEAR NET -on TV although they have Free Movies online, and one called 2,001 Maniacs. The last one being something new and probably the most, intriguing. A cannibalistic ghost town in the south targets "yankees", has a jubilee, seduces, cooks, and eats them. Brilliant. I believe it's an Eli Roth movie? I don't know, him and Mr.Mambo made an appearance so I can only expect it was one of his. Lots of hot maidens looking to get a piece of their new guests. Sexy, ruthless, and hungry. Crazy hick guys with guitars that follow you around, narrating with their songs. Hucklebilly (played by Ryan Fleming) was a personal favourite. Young, bearfoot boy running around and lynching cats, each for a silver dollar. Go watch it for free- and Robert Englund is in it. Go Freddy! (That was definitely a list-like review because you just watch it, laughing, all the while thinking wtf mate?)

I probably won't be around for most of tomorrow so I don't know if I'll be able to get a post to you. Give me a break, I've aged a year, ha! In the meantime, go read a book or something. Or watch free movies on the internet, which ever. Find some good movies for me, I need a few new ones.

Go eat some cake for me! Or have a drink, whiskey is my poison.

Happy early fuckin birthday to me!
