Sprechen Sie bitte langsamer. Я не понимаю. Yo no quiero pensar.

Hello my homo sapiens,

It has been a long couple of weeks and I'm blogging more out of necessity than responsibility. Meaning- I'm blogging to get all the chaos jumbled in my cranium out somewhere not because I have posted in almost three weeks...

First off with some bad news, it's been almost a week since my uncle passed away on September 11th. He is someone who was very good to me as a child and was there through many of the bad times that seemed to find me. I don't want to dwell on it too long since it's still fresh in my mind and very depressing. All my love uncle <3

Today is a Thursday which means my week is basically over. No classes on Friday, just a few work hours which are no big deal...then I'm on a bus home to Boston where I will be until Tuesday morning. My mother's birthday is in April but we're celebrating it this weekend. Why? Because my mother is in love with U2...who just so happen to be playing in Massachusetts on Sunday and Monday. Back in March or so, I got us tickets for this Monday. Mind you my mother is young, she hasn't even hit 40 yet, and has been listening to U2 for a little over 25 years now and has yet to see them. I'm glad to have bought tickets for us to go together since U2 has always been something we've shared and reminds me of home when I'm away. I also bought us seats on the good, ole reliable Rockbus to take us to and from the venue. She was freaking out when I got tickets...she's probably freaking out now that it's so close. Wait until the day comes I take her to Graceland...

At this point I'm reading almost 2-3 books a week, while learning two languages, and taking two courses that are writing intensive (but should also be labeled reading intensive). I work 4 days a week and am part of 3 organizations on campus. I HAVE NO TIME. It is stressful but I enjoy always having something else to do...I get bad when life is stagnant. It's very depressing to me. Obviously I like to have time to relax and that's when I procrastinate on Youtube or go to the movies and live a little.

One thing I wish I had more time for was music. I live by albums and there is nothing more I want then to hide between my headphones when times get overwhelming. I haven't been keeping up with any new albums or songs or artists...that's just not how I do. I usually stumble over things and they squeeze there way into my collection. One video I would like to share with you is H2O's video for their song "What Happened?" The image I posted above is of the shirt I'm wearing...an H2O shirt (surprise!) and line from this song...and I couldn't agree with it more. Plus, Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio sings during the bridge (correct musical term? I think so) and adds his awesomeness to this already kick-ass band. So take a look and I'll see you all back in the 617 this weekend.

Never forget what it feels like to be young.

Breakfast In A Box

Sorry my lovelies!

I know I have been horrible these past...6 days! And should have gotten a post to you. To quickly wrap up my weekend: Friday night called for Chicago Uno's -with a waiter more delicious than any dish they serve- and an ice cream on the beach from the Banana Boat (Revere Beach that is. Been there forever, go.). Saturday I went to IHOP with some friends from Maine and a few Massholes. They staff already had their hands full until all 7 of us decided to show up. Caught up with one another since it had been about a year or two since we all last saw each other then we booked our asses up Route 1 to Michael's Arts & Crafts. Didn't get anything there but a friend and myself snuck into DSW next door and made away with a pair of heels each. Sunday I found myself in Framingham, MA at another friend's house for some poolin' and pastries. Breakfast that morning was provided by Spinelli's -a potato and cheese panzarotti and an eclair. Sunday night, got home sun drunk and looking to play computer games until I passed out.

But what was I up to today? PACKING. Horrid way to spend a Monday if I say so myself. I'm not a fan of packing- unpacking, I can do. I will be back on the UNH campus on August 27th (10 days and counting), and someone told me I should start packing- I said I would if they helped me- they agreed, so I was stuck packing today. I usually wouldn't begin until oh, the 25th or so. Today was one of those days that you sit on the toilet longer than necessary because the bathroom is the coolest room in the house. I'm not ready for the drama of campus, not at all, here in Boston I live relatively drama free. Here, it's also easy for me to tell those who bring drama with them to fuck-off. They are easily avoided, not-so-much on my campus.

Well that's all I have for you tonight. I'm in the middle of the daunting task of weeding out the bad eggs from my digital music collection. I'll have a better post for you tomorrow with more rhyme and reason. Go listen to some Rancid, make me happy...

Until Tuesday.

Hold your head up high

And So, I Ate

That is the summary of my weekend. I ate. Friday was dinner at, Friday's, clever. Ordered the petite Sirloin with a side of their mashed potatoes with cheese. They're brilliant and delicious. Saturday was IHOP. Three eggs, three buttermilk pancakes, and a side of corn beef hash. Why have I eaten so much? Tomorrow is my birthday and people seem to like to feed me. What's on the menu for tomorrow? More steak, that's how it goes.

I would like to thank Twitter this weekend for helping me connect with an old friend of mine. Funny how the internet works. I would also like to thank it for keeping me in touch via cell phone while I was without internet.

This weekend was one of movies, including: Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels (seen many times), Dog Soldiers (also a favourite), many movies on FEAR NET -on TV although they have Free Movies online, and one called 2,001 Maniacs. The last one being something new and probably the most, intriguing. A cannibalistic ghost town in the south targets "yankees", has a jubilee, seduces, cooks, and eats them. Brilliant. I believe it's an Eli Roth movie? I don't know, him and Mr.Mambo made an appearance so I can only expect it was one of his. Lots of hot maidens looking to get a piece of their new guests. Sexy, ruthless, and hungry. Crazy hick guys with guitars that follow you around, narrating with their songs. Hucklebilly (played by Ryan Fleming) was a personal favourite. Young, bearfoot boy running around and lynching cats, each for a silver dollar. Go watch it for free- and Robert Englund is in it. Go Freddy! (That was definitely a list-like review because you just watch it, laughing, all the while thinking wtf mate?)

I probably won't be around for most of tomorrow so I don't know if I'll be able to get a post to you. Give me a break, I've aged a year, ha! In the meantime, go read a book or something. Or watch free movies on the internet, which ever. Find some good movies for me, I need a few new ones.

Go eat some cake for me! Or have a drink, whiskey is my poison.

Happy early fuckin birthday to me!

The Execution Yard

This is a very telling blog title for many of the things I'm feeling today as well as yesterday.

Yesterday I sent out my computer that apparently has a damaged optical drive, and hasn't been reading CDs/DVDs/or anything of that sort. Felt like I was sending it to it's death. I miss it already, making it more difficult for me to post for you all. I tend to feel like posting at night and I only have access to a computer for part of the day. My laptop is beautiful, the love of my technological life, modified by a number of stickers covering every inch, down to the keyboard. Luckily, my warranty is good until 2011, I don't have to pay for shit I didn't break, and I'll have it back within a week or two. Soon enough before my ass is back on campus.

Also the Execution Yard is where I wouldn't mind sending a few people on holiday. What people?: Lazy people, Because "I can't refuse a two sandwiches before a turkey dinner" people, people who have bad conversation etiquette- they go two ways, "I always want to borrow money" people, "I don't like to be touched but I get on a crowded train" people, and a lot of other people this week. But I'm smiling, because that's me...and of course I stepped on the train guy's shoe to make me feel better. Sometimes I just decide to stop trying and let these people get what I have coming for them, 'cause mofo I'm so aggravated I'm throwing grammar out the window.

This weekend's plans are a mystery to me since, well, we never make plans. Things just happen. I'm going to enjoy being disconnected from a lot without the internet while I'm away, I'm sure as hell getting a lot more reading done. Currently reading About A Boy by Nick Hornby which, yes, was made into a movie starring Hugh Grant. Halfway through the book and it's funnier than the film. I have a few Hornby books waiting to get their turn and they will soon.

That's all I have for you darlings, I'm going to check my Twitter page now because I have many internet addictions.

Remember, speak truthfully and loud enough so everyone can fucking hear what you have to say. But also remember, opinion is a two way street.

Until next time. Until Sunday.

Take the next left.

Love,

Sunday: I Feel Ambiguity

No blockquote! Surprise!

I know, that's a first, isn't it? Today finally feels like summer which makes me extremely happy. I'm ignoring all the outside pressures and anxieties I have for a while (even though they are picking at me somewhere in the back of my mind) and not worry about anything until at least Wednesday night. Why? Because Tuesday I will be at the House of Blues on Lansdowne St. in Boston enjoying myself as Rancid sings all my troubles away. The headliners are Rise Against, who are being supported by Rancid (which makes NO fucking sense to me, I think RA should kiss the soles of Tim Armstrong's converse) and Billy Talent but I got tickets just because Rancid is playing. Honestly, I couldn't even remember the names of any Billy Talent songs.

Enough of that, I returned to the movie theatre this weekend after many beach-at-night exploits as my weekends usually consist of. My friend and I decided to see The Ugly Truth with Gerard Butler. Now let me say this before you groan and roll your eyes at me, I already knew how the story was going to play out just by watching the previews/trailers. So I wasn't expecting a life changing plot and ending, not at all [but Gerry is a wicked actor!]. On the other hand, it was pretty funny- after I yelled at some loud mouth asshole behind us to shut his fuckin' mug. Movies are great- too bad they couldn't come up with a device that weeds out the assholes and puts them all in the same theatre with each other. Assholes, theatre 6. Let everyone in theatre 11 enjoy their movie. All the mothers with babies, theatre 14. See how much they enjoy being in a room with 50 others just like them and what that will do to the next time they decide to go see a movie.

I don't have much for you this Sunday, I didn't accomplish much over the weekend, other than having a good time. AND, I think that's what it's all about. Too many people let the stupid shit get them down. I have clothes on my back, a roof over my head, and food in the fridge. Singing to myself, life is good. Fuck the world.

I love you all.
Live it up.

Salt & Tylenol: Weekend Wizardry

First I would like to say RIP Frank McCourt. Frank passed away today at the age of 78 from Meningitis. Within all his amazing writing, he has written two of my favourite books. He is one of the inspirations that has kept my pen moving and it's a sad day for your humble narrator. "The sky is the limit. You never have the same experience twice." - Frank. Now here's to tonight's blog...

Добрый вечер, Buenas noches, Good evening...

Sorry you're getting this post so late lovelies. I'm finally shaking this headache/pain in my brain that I have had for the past, oh, 26 hours. Finally feel like a human being again. My computer also took a 3 foot drop off of my bed about an hour ago and I had to pop a piece back into place, so a small heart attack also threw me off posting.

As I expected, this weekend is what I needed. Friday night, had a great dinner at Chicago Uno's and caught a movie at 7:30. After the movie we headed to the beach to run around in the dark waves and just be with all the late night people out on the sand until about midnight or so. We even had a pick up footy game with a wiffle-ball we found floating the waves.

Can you guess what movie I saw? Bet not. I saw Harry Potter.

I know that's not like me, but a friend and I went to see the 6th installation of the Potter series: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. And to tell you the truth, it was pretty bad ass. I mean, yes it's wizards and knee deep in the fictional world but I like the movies. This is coming from someone who read the first two books when she was 9 and quit after that. Dumbledore has a pretty kick ass scene as well that had me yelling "You're the fucking man!" in the theatre. The acting is improving as the main characters age and has more serious underlying stories than when they were the cute mini-wizards of years past. I still can't stand looking at Daniel Radcliffe - I apologize to all the fangirls out there but there's something about him that bothers me. Although, the part where he drank the Luck potion (whatever it's name was?) and he was going to see Hagrid (spelling?) absolutely had me rolling on the floor. Hilarious. All in all, a pretty good movie and I'd see it again.

Now, in theme of Harry Potter, there is another movie I would like to see. Cherrybomb. Rupert Grint, the actor who plays Ron Weasley in Harry Potter, also stars in this independent film that we may never get to see. So here is the trailer, it speaks for itself, instead of me giving you a synopsis. And if you want to see it, or just want to make me happy, help it get distributed in the U.S. or your home country by signing a petition to get it out there @ http://www.rupert-grint.us/wordpress/cherrybomb-distribution-campaign/

Cherrybomb Trailer

Well that was a long post. Thanks for sticking around through it all darlings. I'm off to watch Snatch and finally listen to some music now that my head is letting me. Hopefully I'll be seeing you tomorrow with some more news...

Where's your head at?

FRIDAY HAS COMETH!

It is true, today is Friday and my weekend shall now commence. In 2 hours and counting...

These past two days seem to have been the longest of the summer. Not time-wise but by responsibility. I was working on my Russian review and have mailed it to my professor today for her corrections. After this week I hope I speak Russian in my sleep. I also need to get moving on my student loan, but who the HELL actually wants to go through that process? I should have a movie review after this weekend. Probably a half-assed movie review unless I love it. I don't even know which film we're going to see.

For those of you who know me...I don't drive. Nope. No car, no license, not even a permit. I have feet, mooching, and the good ol' MBTA to get me where I need to go...but for Tuesday, I need to get out to MANSFIELD from Boston, for the Warped Tour. I never heard of this before, but I'm sharing this weeks discovery with you: ROCK BUS That's right. Rock Bus. It's picking me up (and others of course) at South Station, taking me out to Mansfield before show time, and bringing me back to South Station that night. It's brilliant. It has spots for MANY shows coming up so check it out. It's definitely worth the not-so-expensive price.

www.rockbus.net

What other matters are at hand...oh! Does anyone else watch Nurse Jackie? I don't have the channel for it but I watch episodes online. WHO ELSE THINKS COOP IS THE SHIZ? I just needed to put that out there. The show itself is alright, some of the typical story lines, some pretty good humour. I prefer Dr. House humour over Nurse Jackie humour but Dr. Cooper on Nurse Jackie just kills...plus his "nervous habit", perfect.

You probably will NOT hear from me tomorrow, I don't usually blog on Saturdays unless I have an urgent need to tell you all something and have access to a computer. Damn that was a long sentence. So if you don't hear from me tomorrow I will return to my lovelies on Sunday evening.

Send me some music to review, my ears are dying for something new.
Until next time.

Just Another Saturday; Boredom, Beverages, & UFC 75

Hey-o

It's about 9pm this typical Saturday. I'm sitting in my friends bed while she is away in her college dorm, or not...maybe out with them boys ha ha. Laying back, I'm enjoying a diet coke with lime that I'm surprised I even like -first glass ever ha ha. I'm not one to drink a lot of carbonated beverages.

Tonight is the night of UFC 75: Champion v. Champion and I'm most definitely watching at the moment. The only thing I dislike about this as well as boxing is that you have to wait through many fights to get to the one you watched for in the first place. Tonight I'm not watching for this big unifying belt of pride and ufc - I want to see Bisping v Hammil. This is going to be a challenge for the Count and I want to see him continue his undefeated record by KO or TKO tonight.

This blog is going to be continuous because I have to sit here until the fight. Also fighting tonight is Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipović who I would also like to see walk away with a victory. Now I'm a very technical MMA fan, I watch it for pure enjyment hoping the fighters I support come out on top in these fights.

What am I doing here on a Saturday night? Staying in, yes. I know...she must have no life. Right? It's not lie that. I'm just getting into the groove of things with my friend that I spent my weekends moving away. I'll probably be online most of tonight....thi isn't even my computer. This is someone else's laptop, someone else's bed, phone connection, cup I'm drinking ou of, coke i'm drinking...haha it's not mine! Any of it!

Another thing about it being 9:30 on a Saturday night, no one is online to talk to sadly. There's 2 or 3 regulars I converse with and I'm missing them right now....haha. Kind of a slow day, ya know? Mike, Smurph, ...where are you guys? :( Well hope you're having some fun. There's only so much you can do on MySpace and the internet. Well, I'll check in from time to time...and also to let you know the fight results- of the big fights that is. I'm not paying that close of attention to the undercard although I am watching them.

I didn't know Paul Taylor was fighting tonight. Let's see how he does against "the Irish Handgrenade." Win given to Marcus Davis by Submission: Armbar. Damn.

Every time I see that Shoot'em Up trailer, I kind of want to see it.

And now for Mirko v Kongo. Let's see that highlight reel style head kick KO! Definitely interesting fight, hope you watched it. Win given to Cheich Kongo: Unanimous Decision. Damn.
For the fight I really care about, Michael Bisping v Matt Hammil. I'll stick around for the other fights but this is THE fight for me. Can' type now, must....watch...Bisping :) He seems a bit cocky/comfortable tonight haha but I love him. So much anticipation I had for this. End of first round and my heart is going...You can see why people have waited for this fight, be back next round. Bisping needs to step it up. If you haven't watched it -you must!
Win given to Michael Bisping; Split Decision NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson v Dan "Hollywood" Henderson

Not going into details...Unifying belt UFC/PRIDE Lightheavyweight Champion. Win given to Quinton Rampage Jackson;Unanimous Decision

Take care my friends,

Weekend

Well, all I can say was that it was a quiet weekend and I most definitely enjoyed it. There was thunder and lightning outside, warm outside cool inside- cool enough for me to use a blanket ha ha. My friend and I spent quite a bit of time playing Mancala. I forgot how to play and she taught me again, I didn't realize that such a simple game could be so addictive or enjoyable. All in all, a good weekend.

Take care.
